Terms of Service
1. Service Description
dmp-af.cloud (the “Service”) is a data catalog platform for dbt teams, operated by IJKOS & PARTNERS LTD (the “Company”, “we”, “us”). The Service provides lineage visualization, domain metrics, and collaboration tools for data teams using dbt.
The Service is marketed under the dmp-labs brand. References to “dmp-labs” in marketing materials refer to products and services operated by IJKOS & PARTNERS LTD.
2. Account Responsibilities
By creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately at hello@dmp-af.cloud of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
You may authenticate using email/password or third-party OAuth providers (Google, GitHub). When using OAuth, you authorize us to access basic profile information (name, email) from your provider.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage
4. User Content and Data
Your data remains yours. You retain all rights to data you upload to the Service, including dbt manifests, project configurations, and metadata.
We process your data solely to provide the Service. This includes parsing dbt manifests, generating lineage graphs, and computing domain metrics. We do not sell your data to third parties.
The Service uses a multi-tenant architecture with strict data isolation. Your project data is stored in per-organization databases and is not accessible by other organizations.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service, including its source code, design, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of IJKOS & PARTNERS LTD. The open-source component dmp-af is licensed separately under its own license terms.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IJKOS & PARTNERS LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@dmp-af.cloud.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow for data export, after which it will be permanently deleted.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
